System navigation should be the least of your worries. That’s why UKG is rolling out a new, streamlined interface, bringing clearer navigation, updated visuals, and a smoother user experience with a more modern feel.
Dashboard Start Widget has an updated, modern design.
Brand colors now appear lighter throughout the system.
Hub headers are now white.

Icons have been redesigned with a modern, consistent style.
User pictures are now rounded squares.
If no user picture is uploaded, the default image color is randomized and not theme controlled.
The employee profile information in the header has been redesigned to present information more effectively.

Input fields, buttons, and fonts have been updated for consistency and a more modern look and feel.

Reports: Modernization changes to reports improve usability and readability
Column Filter Pills: Now located in the top-left corner of the report screen.
Pagination Controls: Moved to the bottom-right, with buttons to skip to the first or last page.
Actions Column: A new ellipsis-style actions menu appears on the far-right side. This is enabled by default for system views but is disabled for certain Time and Payroll reports. The Actions column is not auto enabled in saved reports but can be turned on/off via the Add/Remove Columns functionality.
Employee Rich Summary Column: A new summary column shows employee name, ID, photo, and quick links, along with providing the ability to view secondary information such as username and hire date. Users can add or remove this column from reports containing standard employee columns by using the Add/Remove Column functionality. When exported, this column will display both the employees’ full names and the secondary value in a single cell per row. It appears by default in these reports:

Staying organized before beginning the payroll process is essential to ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both employers and employees. When records, employee information, time tracking data, and compliance requirements are gathered and verified in advance, payroll runs smoothly with fewer delays or errors.
Proper organization not only helps maintain accuracy and timeliness but also minimizes the risk of compliance issues or costly corrections later. Which is why we’ve worked hard to update the dashboards for ease of use,giving administrators clear visibility and control at every step.
✨ Time Pre-Process Dashboard Tab ✨
Use the time pre-process dashboard tab to complete timesheet maintenance prior to beginning payroll. The dashboard includes step-by-step instructions on how to complete timesheet tasks. The dashboard also includes widgets that will allow you to jump directly into the step to complete each task.
✨ Payroll Pre-Process ✨
Once timesheet pre-process steps are complete, you can navigate to the payroll pre-process tab to start payroll. Following the pre-payroll processing instructions helps ensure accuracy and compliance while significantly reducing the likelihood of payroll related issues. Complete the tasks by using the available widgets on the dashboard.
